De fabrikant of zijn in de Gemeenschap gevestigde gemachtigde gaat bij het in de handel brengen of tijdens de eerste inbedrijfstelling met passende maatregelen die hij verricht of laat verrichten, na of de hijs- of hefgereedschappen en de gebruiksklare machines, zowel handbediende als gemotoriseerde, hun opgegeven functies volledig veilig kunnen verrichten. Bij die maatregelen moeten de statische en dynamische aspecten van de machines in aanmerking worden genomen.
When machinery is placed on the market or is first put into service, the manufacturer or his authorised representative established within the Community must ensure, by taking appropriate measures or having them taken, that lifting accessories and machinery which are ready for use - whether manually or power-operated - can fulfil their specified functions safely. The said measures must take into account the static and dynamic aspects of the machinery.
