Welcomes the Commission initiatives in the field of the financial education of consumers, in particular the recent setting-up of the Expert Group on Financial Education, and its intention to publish an online database of financial education schemes and research in the EU; is of the opinion that this Expert Group on Financial education should have clear responsibilities and powers; suggests that this group be asked in particular to look into the added value of, and best practices in, EU financial education and cross-border financial services;

Dit voorstel wordt momenteel door de groep “Financiële diensten” onderzocht.
This proposal is currently being examined in the Council’s working party on financial services.

Tevens wordt de oprichting gepland van een permanente groep van vertegenwoordigers van consumenten uit heel Europa. In deze groep zullen aangelegenheden in verband met financiële diensten worden besproken welke voor consumenten van bijzonder belang zijn.
Establishing a permanent group of consumer representatives from across Europe is also planned, within which financial services issues of particular relevance to consumers will be discussed.

Deze richtlijn dient het recht van verbonden agenten onverlet te laten om, ook voor rekening van onderdelen van dezelfde financiële groep, onder andere richtlijnen vallende werkzaamheden uit te oefenen alsook aanverwante werkzaamheden met betrekking tot financiële diensten of producten die niet onder deze richtlijn vallen.
This Directive should be without prejudice to the right of tied agents to undertake activities covered by other Directives and related activities in respect of financial services or products not covered by this Directive, including on behalf of parts of the same financial group.

(37) Deze richtlijn dient het recht van verbonden agenten onverlet te laten om, ook voor rekening van onderdelen van dezelfde financiële groep, onder andere richtlijnen vallende werkzaamheden uit te oefenen alsook aanverwante werkzaamheden met betrekking tot financiële diensten of producten die niet onder deze richtlijn vallen.
