Dit amendement kan alleen worden verklaard door de vreemde samenstelling van de huidige regeringscoalitie in Slowakije waar kameraad Fico probeert om stemmen naar zich toe te trekken van de nationalistische SNS en de populistische HZDS door te wijzen op zogenaamde Hongaarse gevaren.
This amendment of the law can only be explained by the peculiar composition of the current coalition government in Slovakia, where Comrade Fico is attempting to snatch away the votes of the nationalist SNS and the populist HZDS by invoking supposed Hungarian dangers.

Onze Volkspartij HZDS beschouwt de heer Palko's dreigement dat hij disciplinaire maatregelen zal nemen tegen politiefunctionarissen die deelnemen aan protestacties, als een absurde uiting van de arrogantie van de macht.
Our People’s Party – HZDS perceives Minister Palko’s threats of imposing disciplinary measures against the protesting police officers as a preposterous manifestation of the arrogance of power.

Namens de onafhankelijke leden van de Volkspartij – HZDS in Slowakije ondersteun ik de roep van de Europese politiebond Eurocop om wijziging van het systeem van leidinggeven aan de politiekorpsen in Slowakije, en breng ik het verzoek over de zaak te laten onderzoeken door de Europese Commissie.

The three Members representing the HZDS, the movement for a democratic Slovakia, Mr Kozlík, Mr Baco and myself, are working in the Group of Non-attached Members, but I would like to assure you that our efforts will be directed towards the building of a future Europe that is both prosperous and ever more closely unified.
