IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Deze samenwerking moet plaatsvinden overeenkomstig de door de Verenigde Naties genomen maatregelen en dient ter ondersteuning van de centrale en algehele coördinatie door het Bureau voor de coördinatie van humanitaire aangelegenheden van de Verenigde Naties (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs — VN-OCHA).
That cooperation should be pursued in accordance with the actions undertaken by the United Nations, in order to support the central and overall coordinating role of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA).

O. overwegende dat de beleidsmaatregelen van de EU in het bijzonder gericht moeten zijn op plattelandsontwikkeling en landbouw teneinde te zorgen voor voedselzekerheid als bijdrage aan een duurzame sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling van Afrika bezuiden de Sahara; overwegende dat de Commissie in samenwerking met het Bureau voor de Coördinatie van Humanitaire Aangelegenheden van de Verenigde Naties (UNOCHA), het Kinderfonds van de Verenigde Naties (UNICEF) de Hoge Commissaris van de Verenigde Naties voor Vluchtelingen (UNHCR) en het Wereldvoedselprogramma (WVP) onder meer het AGIR-Sahelinitiatief gelanceerd heeft, waarmee beoogd wordt om in het kader van de alomvattende benadering van de EU de samenwerking tussen organisaties bij de bestrijding van de voedselcrisis in de Sahel te verbeteren; overwegende dat de partners hebben vastgesteld dat er minimaal een investering van 750 miljoen EUR nodig is om te voorzien in een sociaal veiligheidsnet ter bescherming van de meest kwetsbare groepen in geval van nieuwe perioden van droogte in de toekomst;
O. whereas EU policies should focus in particular on rural development and agriculture, in order to ensure food security as a contribution to durable socio-economic development in sub-Saharan Africa; whereas the Commission, in partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), the United nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the World Food Programme (WFP), among others, launched the AGIR-Sahel initiative, aspiring to increase inter-organisational cooperation, as part of the EU’s Comprehensive Approach, in addressing the food crisis in the Sahel; whereas the partners identified a minimum investment of EUR 750 million to provide a social safety net to protect the most vulnerable if and when drought hits again in the future;

7. verzoekt de secretaris-generaal van de VN ervoor te zorgen dat alle relevante organisaties en organen van het VN-systeem, met name het Kinderfonds van de Verenigde Naties, het Bevolkingsfonds van de VN, de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie, de Organisatie van de Verenigde Naties voor onderwijs, wetenschap en cultuur, het Ontwikkelingsfonds van de Verenigde Naties voor vrouwen, het Ontwikkelingsprogramma van de Verenigde Naties en het Bureau van de Hoge Commissaris voor de mensenrechten van de Verenigde Naties, individueel en collectief, in hun landenprogramma's, waar nodig en overeenkomstig nationale prioriteiten, rekening houden met de bescherming en bevordering van de rechten van meisjes tegen genitale verminking, teneinde hun inspanningen op dit vlak verder te versterken;

Requests the UN Secretary-General, to ensure that all relevant organisations and bodies of the UN systems, in particular the United Nations Children's Fund, the United Nations Population Fund, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the United Nations Development Fund for Women, the United Nations Development Programme and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, individually and collectively, take into account the protection and promotion of the rights of girls against female genital mutilation in their country programmes, as appropriate, and in accordance with national priorities, in order to further strengthen their efforts in this regard;

De Internationale Olijfolieraad treft de nodige regelingen voor overleg of samenwerking met de Verenigde Naties (VN) en de VN-organen, met name de Conferentie van de Verenigde Naties inzake handel en ontwikkeling (Unctad), het Ontwikkelingsprogramma van de Verenigde Naties (UNDP), de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO), de Voedsel- en landbouworganisatie (FAO), het gemeenschappelijke FAO/WHO-programma van de Codex Alimentarius-commissie, de Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie (ILO), de Organisatie van de Verenigde Naties voor onderwijs, wetenschap en cultuur (Unesco) en andere gespecialiseerde organen van de Verenigde Naties, alsmede met intergouvernementele, gouvernementele en niet-gouvernementele organisaties die de olijfsector van dienst kunnen zijn en middelen ter beschikking kunnen stellen ter ondersteuning van door de Internationale Olijfolieraad georganiseerde acties die alle leden van de Internationale Olijfolieraad ten goede komen.

The International Olive Council shall make whatever arrangements are appropriate for consultation or cooperation with the United Nations and its organs, in particular the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the Joint FAO/WHO Programme of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) and other specialised agencies of the United Nations and with such intergovernmental, governmental and non-governmental organisations as may be appropriate for the olive sector and as may strive to provide funds to support the activities of the International Olive Council for the benefit of all the Members.
