Definition: States of subjective distress and emotional disturbance, usually interfering with social functioning and performance, arising in the period of adaptation to a significant life change or a stressful life event. The stressor may have affected the integrity of an individual's social network (bereavement, separation experiences) or the wider system of social supports and values (migration, refugee status), or represented a major developmental transition or crisis (going to school, becoming a parent, failure to attain a cherished personal goal, retirement). Individual predisposition or vulnerability plays an important role in the risk of occurrence and the shaping of the manifestations of adjustment disorders, but it is nevertheless assumed that the condition would not have arisen without the stressor. Welcomes the EU's and individual Member States' financial and logistical support for the ICC thus far and recommends that current forms of support, either through the regular budget of the ICC funded by States Parties' contributions or through EU funding such as the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), are continued, especially in the following fields: outreach activities aimed at helping victims and affected communities; legal representation; witness relocation; the participation and protection of victims/witnesses, with special consideration for the needs of women and juvenile/child victims; the provision of support enabling the Court to cover urgent operational needs stemming from new investigations; calls on the EU and its Member States to support the Court's efforts to enhance its field presence, recognising the importance of the ICC field presence for promoting understanding and support for its mandate, as well as involving and assisting communities victimised by crimes falling under the Court's jurisdiction; expresses its concern that the lack of resources remains an impediment to the optimal functioning of the Court; ;

Urges the Commission and the Member States to pay more attention to, and to support, the LDCs in order to increase total EU funding for Aid for Trade, which has not seen substantial increases recently; takes the view that, as regional integration becomes increasingly important in the context of the EU Aid for Trade agenda, efforts to complete the ACP regional Aid for Trade packages should be stepped up; takes the view that there is room for improvement in aid effectiveness by increasing joint analysis, joint response strategies and joint delivery of Aid for Trade measures;

10. dringt er bij de Commissie en de lidstaten op aan meer aandacht en steun te geven aan de MOL, ten einde de totale EU-financiering voor steun-voor-handel te verhogen, die de laatste tijd niet wezenlijk is toegenomen; is van oordeel dat, aangezien regionale integratie steeds belangrijker wordt in de steun-voor-handel agenda van de EU, er meer inspanningen moeten worden geleverd om de regionale steun-voor-handel pakketten met ACS-landen te voltooien; is van mening dat de efficiëntie van de steun kan worden verbeterd door meer gezamenlijke analyses, meer gezamenlijke responsstrategieën en meer gezamenlijke uitvoering van steun-voor-handel maatregelen;

Urges the Commission and the Member States to pay more attention to, and to support, the LDCs in order to increase total EU Aid for Trade funding levels, which have not seen substantial increases recently; considers that, as regional integration is becoming increasingly important in the EU Aid for Trade agenda, efforts should be stepped up to complete the ACP regional Aid for Trade packages; considers that there is room for improvement in aid effectiveness by increasing joint analysis, joint response strategies and joint delivery of Aid for Trade measures;

This Regulation should cover the following aid: aid for permanent and temporary cessation of fishing activities, aid for the financing of socioeconomic measures, aid for productive investments in aquaculture, aid for aqua-environmental measures, aid for public health and animal health measures, aid for inland fishing, aid for processing and marketing of fisheries and aquaculture products, aid for measures of common interest which are implemented with the active support of operators themselves or by organisations acting on behalf of producers or other organisation recognised by the Member States, aid for measures of common interest intended to protect and develop aquatic fauna and flora while enhancing the aquatic environment, aid for investments in public or private fishing ports, landing sites and fishing shelters, aid for measures of common interest intended to implement a policy of quality and value enhancement, development of new markets or promotional campaigns for fisheries and aquaculture products, aid for pilot projects, aid for modification for reassignment of fishing vessels, and aid for technical assistance.

In these cases the aid is paid to the provider of the service or activity in question.
