Bij de Europese visserij op Noord-Atlantische witte tonijn zijn vaartuigen uit verschillende lidstaten betrokken, die uiteenlopend vistuig gebruiken (sleeplijnen, levend aas, pelagische trawlnetten en drijfnetten) en waarvan de individuele vangstcapaciteit sterk verschilt.
In view of the fact that European white-tuna fishing in the North Atlantic involves vessels from various Member States using a variety of fishing techniques (troll lining, live bait, pelagic trawl and drift netting) and with a wide range of individual fishing capacity, and given that the ICCAT regards it as essential that fishing effort should be converted and weighted according to the technique used, would the Commission answer the following questions?
