G. overwegende dat de aan de horizontale "drugsgroep” van de Raad toegewezen rol de drugsbestrijdingsacties te coördineren nog moet worden versterkt; dat deze groep kan worden omgevormd tot een "werkgroep op hoog niveau”; dat in het belang van de informele interinstitutionele coördinatie op het gebied van de drugsproblematiek, waaraan in het voorgestelde actieplan gerefereerd wordt, moet worden gezorgd voor geregelde rechtstreekse contacten tussen de horizontale drugsgroep en de bevoegde organen van het Europees Parlement,
G. whereas the coordinating role in anti-drugs operations entrusted to the Horizontal Drugs Group (HDG) should be strengthened further; whereas the HDG could become a "high-level working group"; whereas it would prove beneficial to establish regular, direct contact between the HDG and the competent bodies of the European Parliament in order to further informal interinstitutional coordination on the issues relating to drug addiction addressed under this Action Plan,
