Het Verbund bestaat thans uit: i) 51 juridisch zelfstandige primaire banken (41 regionale coöperatieve banken, vijf speciale banken, vier kredietverenigingen en een bouwspaarkas), ii) de centrale instelling ÖVAG, en iii) het wettelijke depositogarantiestelsel Volksbank Haftungsgenossenschaft eG. ÖVAG is de centrale instelling van het Verbund en levert in die hoedanigheid diensten aan de primaire banken in de vorm van centraal beheer en liquiditeitsbeheer.
The Verbund currently encompasses: (i) 51 legally independent primary banks — 41 regional cooperative banks, 5 special banks, 4 credit unions and 1 building society (Bausparkasse); (ii) the central organisation, ÖVAG; and (iii) the legal deposit insurance scheme, Volksbank Haftungsgenossenschaft eG. ÖVAG is the central organisation of the Verbund and as such provides services for the primary banks in the form of centralised administration and liquidity management activities.
