TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Ingevolge artikel 1 en onder voorbehoud van de artikelen 3, 4 en 6 zijn de bepalingen van deel III, titel V, van het Verdrag betreffende de werking van de Europese Unie, de overeenkomstig die titel aangenomen maatregelen, de bepalingen in door de Unie overeenkomstig die titel gesloten internationale overeenkomsten en de beslissingen van het Hof van Justitie van de Europese Unie ter uitlegging van die bepalingen of maatregelen niet bindend voor, noch van toepassing in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland; bedoelde bepalingen, maatregelen en beslissingen laten de bevoegdheden, rechten en verplichtingen van deze staten onverlet; bedoelde bepalingen, maatregelen en beslissingen laten zowel het op het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland van toepassing zijnde communautair acquis als het acquis van de Unie onverlet en maken geen deel uit van het op die staten van toepassing zijnde recht van de Unie.
In consequence of Article 1 and subject to Articles 3, 4 and 6, none of the provisions of Title V of Part Three of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, no measure adopted pursuant to that Title, no provision of any international agreement concluded by the Union pursuant to that Title, and no decision of the Court of Justice interpreting any such provision or measure shall be binding upon or applicable in the United Kingdom or Ireland; and no such provision, measure or decision shall in any way affect the competences, rights and obligations of those States; and no such provision, measure or decision shall in any way affect the Community or Union acquis nor form part of Union law as they apply to the United Kingdom or Ireland.

For the purposes of the negotiations for the admission of new Member States into the European Union, the Schengen acquis and further measures taken by the institutions within its scope shall be regarded as an acquis which must be accepted in full by all States candidates for admission.

G. whereas, given that the existing consumer protection acquis is a distinctive area of Community law which reflects the EC legislature's concern to deliver a high level of consumer protection in accordance with the Treaties, and although it is clear that the European contract law initiative has a wider remit of securing and developing the coherence of contract law as a whole, this exercise should not lead to a dilution of the values at the heart of the existing consumer protection acquis,

Applauds the substantial progress made to adopt the acquis communautaire; points out, however, that the acquis must in fact be implemented and, to enable this to happen, that the administrative capacity of enforcement agencies and institutions must be expanded more rapidly to the required level, making use of the opportunities afforded by the Commission"s action plan; encourages a strengthening of and further cooperation with civil society in the implementation of the acquis;

Op het gebied van het vervoersbeleid moet er door de kandidaat-landen een belangrijk stuk acquis communautaire worden overgenomen, zo'n 10% van het totale acquis van de EU. In the area of transport policy an important acquis communautaire has to be taken over by candidate countries, which represents about 10% of the total EU acquis. Progress in adapting to this acquis is satisfactory, however it should be borne in mind that the adoption of important new legislation will add to this existing acquis, in particular in the railway sector.

The relevant acquis is a combination of the Schengen inheritance (now EC/EU acquis) and the Visa Regulation which lists Russia as a country whose citizens should be submitted to a visa obligation for the purposes of entering EU territory.
