1. erkent de vorderingen die Roemenië heeft gemaakt om te voldoen aan het acquis op sociaal gebied; is echter van mening dat omzetting van grote delen van het acquis middels secundaire wetgeving nodig is, met name wat betreft de bescherming van het moederschap, bescherming van jongerenarbeid en richtlijnen inzake massa-ontslagen; verzoekt de Roemeense regering in dit verband onverwijld de nodige voorschriften vast te stellen en het acquis op het gebied van de sociale bescherming volledig om te zetten;
1. Recognises the progress which has been made by Romania in order to fulfil the social acquis; points out, nevertheless, that transposition of large parts of the acquis under secondary legislation will be required, in relation in particular to the protection of expectant and nursing mothers, youth-employment protection and directives on mass redundancies; calls on the Romanian government to adopt the necessary rules and regulations in this connection without delay, and comprehensively to transpose the social protection provisions of the acquis;

Overwegende dat de Lid-Staten te dien einde jongerenarbeid moeten verbieden voor in de onderhavige richtlijn genoemde werkzaamheden;
Whereas Member States should therefore prohibit the employment of young people for the work specified by this Directive;
