TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Op 14 december 2012 hebben de Commissie en de lidstaten het wetenschappelijk advies van de EFSA ontvangen, waarin werd opgemerkt dat de claim betrekking heeft op de vermindering van perifere oedemen in het kader van chronische klinische aandoeningen (bv. chronische veneuze insufficiëntie) en concludeerde op basis van de overgelegde gegevens dat de vermindering van perifere oedemen in het kader van chronische klinische aandoeningen een therapeutisch doel voor hun behandeling is.
On 14 December 2012, the Commission and the Member States received the scientific opinion from the Authority, which noted that the claim refers to the reduction of peripheral oedema in the context of chronic clinical conditions (e.g. chronic venous insufficiency) and concluded that on the basis of the data presented, such reduction of peripheral oedema in the context of chronic clinical conditions is a therapeutic target for their treatment.

Following an application from GP International Holding BV, submitted pursuant to Article 14(1)(a) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, the Authority was required to deliver an opinion on a health claim related to the effects of OPC Plus on the reduction of the risk of chronic venous insufficiency (Question No EFSA-Q-2009-00751) (4).
