IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Dit voorstel van resolutie wil aldus bewerkstelligen dat de internationale verdragen die deze schuld kwijtschelden, zoals het HIPC initiatief moeten rekening houden met de mogelijkheid dat bepaalde privé crediteuren kunnen toeslaan wanneer schulden worden kwijtgescholden. Dit werd tevens bepleit door heer Thimothy T. Thahane, toenmalig minister van Financiën van Lesotho (zie supra : punt 2.3).
La présente proposition de résolution vise à faire en sorte que les conventions internationales en matière de remise de dette, telle l'initiative PPTE, tiennent compte du fait que certains créanciers privés peuvent profiter de ces opérations pour sévir et va dans le même sens que ce que plaidait par ailleurs M. Thimothy T. Thahane, l'ancien ministre des Finances du Lesotho (cf. ci-dessus: point 2.3).

Dit voorstel van resolutie wil bereiken dat de internationale schuldkwijtscheldingsverdragen, zoals het HIPC-initiatief, er rekening mee houden dat bepaalde privécrediteuren kunnen toeslaan tijdens die operaties. Dit werd tevens bepleit door heer Thimothy T. Thahane, voormalig minister van Financiën van Lesotho (zie supra : punt 2.3).
