Let me say to anyone who feels under attack wherever they are – and, as a gay man, I could have been born in Poland, Latvia or the Czech Republic in fear of my life, in fear of my job – you are not alone, we are with you and we will win for the simple reason that goodness and justice always succeed in the end.
Permettez-moi de dire à tous ceux qui se sentent menacés où qu’ils soient - et, en tant que gay, j’aurais pu naître en Pologne, en Lettonie ou en République tchèque où j’aurais craint pour ma vie, pour mon job -: vous n’êtes pas seuls, nous sommes à vos côtés et nous gagnerons pour la simple raison que la bonté et la justice ont toujours fini par l’emporter.
