The Commission attended the 17th meeting of the 'Regional policy, Structural Funds, economic and social cohesion, cross-border and interregional cooperation" section of the Committee of the Regions on 25 June which included an initial debate on the Annual Report 1999 [15]. The Committee's final opinion is expected in November 2001.
