5. The DPO may make recommendations and give advice to the Commission and the Controllers on matters concerning the application of data protection provisions and may perform investigations on request, or upon his own initiative, into matters and occurrences directly relating to his tasks, and report back to the person who commissioned the investigation, in accordance with the procedure described in Article 13 hereof.
5. Le DPD peut adresser des recommandations et des conseils à la Commission et aux responsables des traitements sur des questions touchant à l’application des dispositions en matière de protection des données et il peut, sur demande ou de sa propre initiative, examiner des questions et des faits qui sont de son ressort direct et faire rapport à la personne qui a demandé cet examen, conformément à la procédure décrite à l’article 13 ci-dessous.
