Definition: A disorder in which the child, having previously made normal progress in language development, loses both receptive and expressive language skills but retains general intelligence; the onset of the disorder is accompanied by paroxysmal abnormalities on the EEG, and in the majority of cases also by epileptic seizures. Usually the onset is between the ages of three and seven years, with skills being lost over days or weeks. The temporal association between the onset of seizures and loss of language is variable, with one preceding the other (either way round) by a few months to two years. An inflammatory encephalitic process has been suggested as a possible cause of this disorder. About two-thirds of patients are left with a more or less severe receptive language deficit.

Definition: This block contains a wide variety of disorders that differ in severity and clinical form but that are all attributable to the use of one or more psychoactive substances, which may or may not have been medically prescribed. The third character of the code identifies the substance involved, and the fourth character specifies the clinical state. The codes should be used, as required, for each substance specified, but it should be noted that not all fourth character codes are applicable to all substances. Identification of the psychoactive substance should be based on as many sources of information as possible. These include self-report data, analysis of blood and other body fluids, characteristic physical and psychological symptoms, clinical signs and behaviour, and other evidence such as a drug being in the patient's possession or reports from informed third parties. Article 10 EC, in conjunction with the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities established by Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 of the Council of 29 February 1968 laying down the Staff Regulations of Officials and the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities and instituting special measures temporarily applicable to officials of the Commission, as amended by Council Regulation (EC, Euratom) No 723/2004 of 22 March 2004, precludes legislation of a Member State, such as that at issue in the main proceedings, which is interpreted as meaning that, in relation to eligibility for unemployment benefit, periods of work completed as a member of the contract staff in an institution of the European Union established in that Member State are not taken into account and days of unemployment which have given rise to payment of an unemployment allowance pursuant to the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities are not treated as working days although days of unemployment for which benefit has been paid under the legislation of that Member State are so treated.

Du consentement unanime, il est ordonné — Que, nonobstant tout article du Règlement, la Chambre examine aujourd’hui, au cours de l’étude des Ordres émanant du gouvernement, les amendements apportés par le Sénat au projet de loi C–8, Loi portant réglementation de certaines drogues et de leurs précurseurs ainsi que d’autres substances, modifiant certaines lois et abrogeant la Loi sur les stupéfiants en conséquence, et au projet de loi C–20, Loi concernant la commercialisation des services de navigation aérienne civile, à condition que, au plus tard à l’expiration des Ordres émanant du gouvernement, toutes les questions nécessaires pour disposer desdites affaires soient mises aux voix sans autre débat ni amendement et que tout vote demandé à cet égard ne puisse être différé à un autre jour; Que, lorsque la Chambre suspendra ses travaux aujourd’hui, elle soit, aux fins de l’article 28 du Règlement, réputée avoir siégé et s’être ajournée le 21 juin 1996, à condition que rien dans cet ordre n’empêche le Président de convoquer la Chambre dans l’unique but d’assister à la sanction royale de tout projet de loi plus tard le 21 juin 1996, ou à une autre date au cours de la période d’ajournement; Que, si, au cours de la période d’ajournement prévue à l’article 28 du Règlement, les membres de tout comité permanent le prescrivent à l’unanimité, le président de tout comité permanent puisse présenter à la Chambre un rapport du comité en déposant ledit rapport auprès du Greffier de la Chambre conformément aux dispositions du paragraphe 32(1) du Règlement.
