− (FR) Mr President, this debate really has highlighted the fact that we are taking an important step into a new phase. Perhaps I should say we will be taking that step if, as we hope, this text – and I would again like to thank Mr Nassauer for his role in preparing it – makes clear, to borrow Ms Frassoni’s words, that ‘offences can no longer go unpunished’. That, I believe, is what matters.
− (FR) Monsieur le Président, le débat vient de montrer en effet que nous franchissons là une étape importante; enfin, nous la franchirons, si, comme nous le souhaitons, ce texte, et je voudrais encore remercier M. Nassauer pour la part qu'il y a prise, est évidemment un texte qui, comme le disait Mme Frassoni, dit «les délits ne seront plus dépénalisés». Je crois que c'est ça qui est important. Nous avançons vraiment.
