Since 1992, ECHO has devoted approximately one third of its funding to projects implemented by UN humanitarian agencies especially UNHCR, its main partner. Following the Great Lakes crisis, between 1998 and 1999, ECHO allocated €29 Million to the UNHCR to carry out projects mainly in Burundi, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
À la suite de la crise des Grands Lacs, entre 1998 et 1999, ECHO a alloué 29 millions d'euros au HCR pour que ce dernier réalise des projets, principalement au Burundi, en Tanzanie, en République démocratique du Congo et au Rwanda.
