The issue of what some of these candidates are put through is of concern to me, and I point specifically to the experience of a person like Robert Bork in the United States, who, frankly, was a very eminent and qualified jurist, and yet because of his position on certain things, in terms of being seen as a conservative, he ran into all kinds of problems.
