I therefore urge the competent authorities and the EU institutions, including Parliament, to address these problems and to harmonise the formats of badges for disabled drivers and the ways that they can be used throughout the EU, and also to harmonise the rules dealing with the rights and obligations of severely disabled people. The sooner this happens, the better.
J’invite donc instamment les autorités compétentes et les institutions de l’UE, y compris le Parlement, à s’attaquer à ces problèmes et à harmoniser le format des badges attribués aux personnes handicapées et la manière de les utiliser partout dans l’UE. Je les invite aussi à harmoniser les règles relatives aux droits et obligations des personnes gravement handicapées.
