I would like to propose that as an initial step, at least with regard to agriculture and food, we contemplate the introduction of the principle of food self-determination, which means that communities and countries have the right to decide what they want to produce and how they want to produce it, and then how they want to sell it.
Je voudrais proposer comme étape initiale, ne fût-ce que concernant l’agriculture et l’alimentation, que nous réfléchissions à l’introduction du principe de l’autodétermination alimentaire, ce qui signifie que les communautés et les pays ont le droit de décider ce qu’ils produisent, comment ils le produisent et comment ils veulent ensuite vendre cette production.
