I see nothing but friends around this table, but I do want to put on the record once again that I'm here not because the committee has allowed me as much as that somebody on high passed the same motion for every committee, to require that, should I want to make amendments, I'm no longer permitted to make them at report stage, and any MP in my position, either representing a smaller party or serving as an independent, must report to committee on the timetable we receive from the committee.
Je ne vois que des amis autour de cette table, mais je tiens à souligner encore une fois que je suis ici non pas parce que le comité m'y a autorisée, mais bien parce que quelqu'un d'en haut a fait adopter la même motion pour tous les comités, afin que je ne puisse plus proposer d'amendements à l'étape du rapport et que tous les députés dans ma position, qu'ils représentent un petit parti ou qu'ils siègent à titre d'indépendants, doivent être présents selon le calendrier que nous recevons du comité.
