Follows from it the necessary extension to services of the scope of the exchange of information between Member States through the VIES, currently limited to intra-Community supplies of goods. Therefore the Council Regulation (EC) No 1798/2003 of 7 October 2003 on administrative cooperation in the field of value added, which constitutes the legal basis for the exchange of information, shall be amended in order to include services within the scope of the exchange of information.
