It is not a situation that lends itself to simple definitions, because the current situation in Colombia is rooted in history and is also regrettably rooted in one of the facts of life of modern-day Colombia, which is the fact that drug cultivation and the profits of drugs continue to deter development of the society and present a grave challenge to the authorities who are committed to combating narco-trafficking and all of the concomitant social ills associated with that as an absolute priority.
Ce n'est pas une situation facile à définir parce qu'elle s'inscrit dans l'histoire du pays et, malheureusement, dans la réalité quotidienne de la Colombie d'aujourd'hui, étant donné que la culture et les profits de la drogue continuent de nuire au développement de la société et de présenter beaucoup de difficultés aux autorités qui veulent lutter en priorité absolue contre le narcotrafic et tous les problèmes sociaux qui y sont rattachés.
