IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Serbia and Slovenia requested the Commission to set up the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities Research Infrastructure as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (hereinafter ‘DARIAH ERIC’).
L'Allemagne, l'Autriche, la Belgique, Chypre, la Croatie, le Danemark, la France, la Grèce, l'Irlande, l'Italie, le Luxembourg, Malte, les Pays-Bas, la Serbie et la Slovénie ont demandé à la Commission de constituer l'Infrastructure de recherche numérique pour les arts et les sciences humaines en consortium pour une infrastructure européenne de recherche (ci-après l'«ERIC DARIAH»).

BUILDING on the ESFRI roadmap that identified the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) as the distributed infrastructure supporting, based on scientific excellence, clinical research in Europe through information, consulting and services to investigators and sponsors in multinational studies, acting through correspondents hosted in national clinical research hubs and networks, also contributing to the structuring of national infrastructures, harmonising training, tools and practice and high quality standards, fostering transparency and data sharing, promoting a harmonised regulatory system and shared ethical standards.

3. The Board of National Directors may recommend agreements with the national centres and infrastructure consortia within the EATRIS research infrastructure in order to ensure that these entities as well as third parties have access to the scientific knowledge of the EATRIS research infrastructure.
3. 3. The EATRIS research infrastructure shall connect leading European research institutes that dedicate part of their research and development capacities to EATRIS ERIC sharing content, tools and knowledge related to research in translational medicine and in particular on the following:

Considering that European research infrastructures are in competition with those of the Community’s global partners which are and will be strongly investing in modern large-scale research infrastructures, and that these infrastructures are becoming increasingly complex and expensive, often placing them beyond the reach of a single Member State or even continent, it is now necessary to exploit and develop the full potential of Article 171 of the Treaty by establishing a framework containing the procedures and conditions for the setting-up and operation of European Research Infrastructures at Community level which are necessary for the efficient execution of the Community’s RTD programmes.
Considérant que les infrastructures de recherche européennes sont en concurrence avec celles des partenaires de la Communauté au niveau mondial, qui investissent massivement dans des infrastructures de recherche modernes à grande échelle et continueront à le faire, et que lesdites infrastructures deviennent de plus en plus complexes et coûteuses, ce qui les met souvent hors de portée d’un seul État membre, voire d’un seul continent, il est désormais nécessaire d’exploiter et de développer tout le potentiel de l’article 171 du traité en instaurant un cadre qui prévoit les procédures et conditions nécessaires à la mise en place et à l’exploitation des infrastructures européennes de recherche à l’échelle communautaire nécessaires à l’exécution efficace des programmes communautaires de RDT.

Integrating activities to structure better, on a European scale, the way research infrastructures operate in a given field and to promote their coherent use and development, in particular through trans-national access, to ensure that European researchers, including researchers from industry and SMEs, may have access to high performing research infrastructures to conduct their research, irrespective of the location of the infrastructure,
Activités intégratrices destinées à mieux structurer, à l'échelle européenne, l'exploitation des infrastructures de recherche dans un domaine donné et en favoriser une utilisation et un développement cohérents, en particulier grâce à un accès transnational permettant aux chercheurs européens, y compris les chercheurs provenant de l'industrie et des PME, d'accéder aux infrastructures de recherche de haut niveau pour mener leurs travaux, quel que soit le lieu où se situent ces infrastructures.
