It is also significant that the report restates the need to discourage children from dropping out of school early, by giving appropriate support to those with educational problems and raising the age for compulsory education or training to 18. At the same time we must adopt those measures needed to guarantee access to high-quality education and to training geared towards all young people, paying particular attention to lower-income families and those from the most vulnerable parts of society. This also requires sufficient budgetary appropriations, which are still not forthcoming.
Il est bon également de confirmer la nécessité de décourager l'abandon scolaire précoce, en aidant de manière appropriée les jeunes ayant des difficultés d'apprentissage et en élevant l'obligation scolaire ou de formation à 18 ans, mais il faut prendre effectivement les mesures essentielles pour garantir un accès à l'éducation de qualité et à la formation de tous les jeunes, en accordant une attention particulière aux familles qui disposent de faibles ressources économiques et aux catégories les plus vulnérables de la population, ce qui exige aussi des budgets adaptés, toujours absents.
