Mr. Nelson Riis (Kamloops, NDP) moved: Motion No. 266 That Bill C-68, be amended by adding after line 28, on page 134, the following new Clause: ``185.1 (1) In 2000, no later than June 1, and every three years thereafter, a comprehensive review of the provisions of this Act shall be undertaken by such Committee of the House of Commons as the House may designate for that purpose (2) The Committee shall review the effectiveness of the provisions of this Act and the use of firearms in the community in general and shall report to the House as to whether any provision of this Act or the regulations or any other legislation respecting firearms should be amended, augmented or repealed'.
