Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs welcomes today the official launch of the European Solar Thermal Technology Platform, an initiative of the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation to facilitate the development of future research and development in this sector.
Andris Piebalgs, membre de la Commission européenne chargé de l’énergie, salue aujourd’hui le lancement officiel de la plateforme technologique européenne de l’énergie solaire thermique, une initiative de l’ESTIF (fédération européenne des industriels du solaire thermique) visant à favoriser l’essor de la recherche et du développement dans ce secteur.

Welcomes the progress made by establishing the Joint Technology Initiatives; calls on the Commission to come forward with new, complementary EIIs as part of the SET-Plan in order to exploit the great potential of other renewables technology avenues, namely geothermal and solar thermal, hydropower and ocean energy, and to include the existing renewables heating and cooling platform; stresses the need to make EU budget resources available in order to finance these initiatives;
73. se félicite de l'avancée que constitue l'établissement des initiatives technologiques conjointes; invite la Commission à présenter de nouvelles initiatives industrielles européennes supplémentaires dans le cadre du plan SET afin d'exploiter le grand potentiel que présentent d'autres solutions technologiques renouvelables, à savoir l'énergie géothermique et solaire thermique, l'énergie hydroélectrique et l'énergie marine et à inclure le chauffage et le refroidissement à partir de sources d'énergie renouvelables; souligne la nécessité de mettre des ressources supplémentaires du budget de l'Union européenne à disposition pour financer ces initiatives;
