Minutes after we finished voting last Wednesday, one of her colleagues stood in the foyer of the Senate announcing, in French, that sponsors of the events and Montrealers had nothing to worry about; that the Grand Prix, the fireworks festival, the tennis tournaments and everything else sponsored by the tobacco companies would proceed.
Quelques minutes après la fin du vote que nous avons tenu mercredi dernier, une de ses collègues a annoncé en français, dans le foyer du Sénat, que les parrains de ces événements et les Montréalais n'avaient rien à craindre, que le Grand Prix, le festival des feux d'artifice, les tournois de tennis et toutes les autres activités parrainées par les compagnies de tabac allaient se poursuivre.
