Calls on the Iranian authorities immediately to release members of Iran's artistic community who are being held and to put an end to the persecution – by means of detention or other forms of harassment – of that community; notes that such treatment is incompatible with the international human rights principles which Iran has freely signed up to; points out that the right to freedom of expression through art and writing is enshrined in Article 19 of the ICCPR, which Iran has signed;
