Definition: A depressive episode, which may be prolonged, arising in the aftermath of a schizophrenic illness. Some schizophrenic symptoms, either positive or negative , must still be present but they no longer dominate the clinical picture. These depressive states are associated with an increased risk of suicide. If the patient no longer has any schizophrenic symptoms, a depressive episode should be diagnosed (F32.-). If schizophrenic symptoms are still florid and prominent, the diagnosis should remain that of the appropriate schizophrenic subtype (F20.0-F20.3).

Certains symptômes schizophréniques positifs ou négatifs doivent encore être présents, mais ne dominent plus le tableau clinique. Ce type d'état dépressif s'accompagne d'un risque accru de suicide. Where a certified recipient undertaking no longer complies with one or more of the criteria set out in Article 9(2) of Directive 2009/43/EC or with the conditions attached to the certificate and where the competent authority deems the non-compliance to be of minor importance, the competent authority should, within a time period not exceeding 1 month from the date the competent authority first became aware of the non-compliance, take a decision requiring the recipient undertaking to take corrective action.

Action n° 6: To promote, in a staged approach, unprecedented collaborative research and development efforts to bring new antibiotics to patients by: Launching rapidly with EFPIA[12], within the IMI-Joint Undertaking, a programme for research on new antibiotics aimed at improving the efficiency of research and development of new antibiotics through unprecedented open sharing of knowledge. Establishing an overarching framework agreement with the industry, defining objectives, commitments, priorities, principles and modes of action for public-private collaboration in a longer term perspective. Mobilising adequate resources, within IMI in particular (and its possible successor), FP7 and in the longer term the forthcoming research and innovation programme 2014-2020 (Horizon 2020), in order to support research and development work, based on criteria and modalities adapted to the specific needs and challenges of antibiotic development. Use the flexibility in the current pharmaceutical legislation to give rapid authorisation to new antibiotics and work with stakeholders and the Member States' authorities towards the establishment of adequate market and pricing conditions for new antibiotics. Ensure conditions for and implement fast track procedures for the marketing authorisation of new antimicrobials.

It should be stressed here that for the purposes of ex-ante regulation, if an undertaking has already been imposed regulatory obligations, the fact that competition may have been restored in the relevant market as a result precisely of the obligations thus imposed, this does not mean that that undertaking is no longer in a dominant position and that it should no longer continue being designated as having SMP.

Except in cases of force majeure, where it is found that an undertaking no longer meets the conditions laid down in paragraph 2 or has failed to comply with another obligation under this Regulation, approval shall be suspended for a period of one to twelve months, depending on the seriousness of the irregularity.
