– (DE) Madam President, I too must say to Ms González Álvarez that it was the vile Communist regimes which bandied about the word "democracy" most frequently, and the worst environmental disasters have occurred in Communist countries – just think of Chernobyl – in other words, in states where there is no grasp of either economics or ecology.
- (DE) Madame la Présidente, je souhaite moi aussi rappeler à Mme González Álvarez que c’est dans les dictatures communistes les plus atroces que le mot "démocratie" est le plus souvent employé et que c’est également dans des États communistes que les pires catastrophes écologiques ont eu lieu - pensez à Tchernobyl -, dans des États où l’on ne comprend rien à l’économie, ni à l’écologie.
