We must approach this debate without extolling virtues – Baroness Ashton has rightly highlighted some positive elements; I would emphasise the good or, rather, the better provision of information between Parliament and the European External Action Service – yet also without concealing defects, and a voice as sensible as that of Giorgio Napolitano, our former fellow Member and President of the Italian Republic, has reminded us of this recently.
Nous devrions aborder ce débat sans exaltation – Mme Ashton a souligné à juste titre certains éléments positifs; je soulignerai quant à moi la bonne, ou plutôt la meilleure, communication d’informations entre le Parlement et le service européen pour l’action extérieure – sans toutefois en dissimuler les déficiences, comme une voix aussi sensée que celle de Giorgio Napolitano, notre ancien collègue, président de la République italienne, nous l’a récemment rappelé.
