In reply to the second question "Do you think that it is important to work on a European cultural project, in a concrete form and in accordance with the subsidiarity principle, which could be integrated into the political, economic, monetary and other projects?" most Member States and the Commission felt that a cultural project would require enhanced resources, whilst others felt the issue should be seen in the light of the findings of the review of application of Article 151 of the Treaty.

Some delegations endorsed the suggestions put forward by Denmark, whilst others felt that such an examination should be carried out in a more general context than that of feedingstuffs by incorporating the aspects of human health and aspects relating to international trade.
