Instead of denigrating the great work that people are doing in helping our young people, our disabled, people who have been laid off through no fault of their own to deal with this incredible changing economy, instead of bashing these programs that work, I would think that members in this place would suggest that we should be having a debate on how we can continue to support those people who need help and on how we can better deliver good quality health services that are not Americanized, that are not privatized and that are not based on the model that we know the Reform Party prefers.
Au lieu de critique le merveilleux travail accompli par les gens qui viennent en aide à nos jeunes, aux personnes handicapées et aux gens qui se retrouvent sans emploi à cause de l'économie en perpétuel changement; au lieu de s'en prendre à ces programmes qui fonctionnent, il serait préférable que les députés présents dans cette enceinte tiennent un débat sur la façon dont nous pouvons continuer d'aider les gens qui ont besoin d'aide, sur la façon d'améliorer les services de santé tout en évitant l'approche américaine, en empêchant qu'ils ne soient privatisés et qu'ils ne s'inspirent pas du modèle cher au Parti réformiste.
