IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

This Regulation establishes a Programme to support measures intended to further promoting the development and implementation of the Integrated Maritime Policy (hereinafter referred to as "the Programme"), whose main objective is to achieve the maximisation of the sustainable exploitation of the seas and oceans not jeopardising the growth of the sustainable maritime economy, coastal regions and protection of the marine ecosystem including the outermost regions, and insuring social cohesion and expansion of scientific knowledge.
Bij deze verordening wordt een programma ter ondersteuning van maatregelen voor de verdere ontwikkeling en tenuitvoerlegging van het geïntegreerd maritiem beleid vastgesteld (hierna "het programma" genoemd), waarvan de voornaamste doelstelling bestaat in het maximaliseren van de duurzame exploitatie van zeeën en oceanen zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van de duurzame maritieme economie, kustregio's en bescherming van het mariene ecosysteem met inbegrip van de ultraperifere gebieden, en het verzekeren van sociale cohesie en de uitbreiding van wetenschappelijke kennis.

This stakeholder consultation process could cover the following topics: water, biodiversity, agriculture and forestry, marine resources, industry, public health, transport, energy, research, technology and innovation, financial services and insurance, cohesion policy and regional funds, external action and co-operation with non-EU countries, use of land use instruments and spatial planning.
Dit proces van inspraak van de belanghebbende partijen kan betrekking hebben op de volgende thema's: water, biodiversiteit, landbouw en bosbouw, mariene hulpbronnen, industrie, volksgezondheid, vervoer, energie, onderzoek, technologie en innovatie, financiële diensten en verzekeringen, cohesiebeleid en regionale fondsen, het externe optreden van de Gemeenschap en samenwerking met niet-EU-landen, gebruik van bodembestemmingsinstrumenten en ruimtelijke ordening.

D. whereas there is a need for proper coordination between the marine strategy and other policy areas such as the common fisheries policy, the common agricultural policy, the EU chemicals policy, regional policy and transport and all legislative and non-legislative initiatives with a direct bearing on the marine environment, as is the case with coastal policy; whereas the relationship of existing practices, for example insurance practices, to the marine strategy should likewise be studied,
D. overwegende dat er behoefte bestaat aan doeltreffende coördinatie tussen de mariene strategie en andere beleidsterreinen zoals het gemeenschappelijk visserijbeleid, het gemeenschappelijk landbouwbeleid, het beleid van de Unie inzake chemicaliën, het regionaal beleid en het vervoerbeleid, alsmede alle wetgevings- en andere initiatieven die rechtstreeks verband houden met het mariene milieu, zoals het beleid inzake kustgebieden; overwegende dat ook het verband tussen bestaande praktijken, zoals die onder meer in de verzekeringsbranche worden gehanteerd, en de mariene strategie in kaart moet worden gebracht,
