We therefore request that this issue be dealt with on a strategic level by the European Commission, which has the strength and political muscle to tackle it, to show that it accepts the consequences of a possible silence, which would result in a catastrophic failure of the European economy.
Daarom verzoeken wij de Europese Commissie, die immers de kracht en het politieke gewicht heeft die nodig zijn om dit probleem aan te pakken, deze kwestie op strategisch niveau te behandelen, om te laten zien dat zij de consequenties van een eventueel stilzwijgen, dat een rampzalige ineenstorting van de Europese economie tot gevolg zou hebben, voor haar rekening neemt.
