At the Joint Committee meeting of 18 to 20 August 2014, the representatives of the EU and of São Tomé and Príncipe welcomed the conclusion of the new four-year protocol.

2. Calls on the Commission to forward to Parliament the conclusions of the meetings and activities of the Joint Committee provided for in Article 9 of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Community and the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe (‘the Partnership Agreement’), as well as the multiannual sectoral programme provided for in Article 3 of the Protocol and the corresponding annual evaluations; calls on the Commission to facilitate the participation of representatives of Parliament as observers in the meetings of the Joint Committee provided for in Article 9 of the Partnership Agreement; calls on the Commission to submit to Parliament and the Council, during the final year of application of the Protocol and before the opening of negotiations for its renewal, a full report on its implementation, without unnecessary restrictions on access to this document;
2. verzoekt de Commissie het Parlement de conclusies te doen toekomen van de vergaderingen en de werkzaamheden van de gemengde commissie als bedoeld in artikel 9 van de Partnerschapsovereenkomst inzake visserij tussen de Europese Unie en de Democratische Republiek São Tomé en Principe (hierna „partnerschapsovereenkomst” genoemd), het meerjarige sectorale programma als vermeld in artikel 3 van het protocol en de resultaten van de respectievelijke jaarlijkse evaluaties; verzoekt de Commissie om de deelneming van vertegenwoordigers van het Parlement als waarnemers op de bijeenkomsten van de gemengde commissie als bedoeld in artikel 9 van de Partnerschapsovereenkomst te vergemakkelijken; verzoekt de Commissie om in het laatste jaar waarin het protocol geldt en vóór het openen van de onderhandelingen met het oog op de verlenging van de overeenkomst, het Parlement en de Raad een volledig verslag over de uitvoering ervan voor te leggen, zonder onnodige beperkingen op de toegang tot dit document;

2. The Joint Committee and the Statistical Programme Committee (SPC) established by Council Decision 89/382/EEC, Euratom of 19 June 1989 shall organise their tasks for the purposes of this Agreement in combined meetings.
2. Het gemengd comité en het bij Besluit 89/382 (EEG/Euratom) van de Raad van 19 juni 1989 opgerichte Comité statistisch programma (CSP) organiseren hun werkzaamheden ten behoeve van deze overeenkomst in gemeenschappelijke vergaderingen.

2. The Joint Committee shall hold an exchange of views on the implications of new Community legislation amending Regulation EEC No 1210/90 or any other legal instrument referred to in this Agreement, including, if appropriate, on any expected implications relating to the financial contribution laid down in Article 2 of this Agreement and Annex II thereto.

Het Gemengd Comité wisselt van gedachten over de implicaties van nieuwe communautaire wetgeving tot wijziging van Verordening (EEG) nr. 1210/90, of enig ander juridisch instrument waarnaar in deze Overeenkomst wordt verwezen, inclusief, in voorkomend geval, over enige verwachte implicaties in verband met de in artikel 2 en bijlage II van deze Overeenkomst bepaalde financiële bijdrage.

An examination of the text shows that the draft agreement imposes on airline companies obligations different from those laid down in Title II of Directive 95/46/EEC, while on the other hand granting the EC-Canada Joint Committee discretionary powers as regards the modification of essential elements of the agreement, such as the choice of administrations responsible for its implementation in Canada and the Community.
Na bestudering van de tekst kan worden geconstateerd dat de ontwerpovereenkomst de Europese luchtvaartmaatschappijen andere verplichtingen oplegt dan die welke zijn voorzien in titel II van richtlijn 95/46/EEG en anderzijds wordt aan het gemengd comité EG/Canada een beslissingsbevoegdheid toegekend met betrekking tot de wijziging van essentiële onderdelen van de overeenkomst, zoals de keuze van de instanties die worden belast met de uitvoering in Canada en de Gemeenschap.

(7) The Administrative Commission recommends that decisions of the EEA Joint Committee and of the EU-Switzerland Joint Committee be prepared from the point of view of the implications of the European card replacing the forms necessary for the application of Regulations (EEC) No 1408/71 and (EEC) No 574/72 as regards access to care during a temporary stay in a Member State other than the competent State or the State of residence,
(7) De Administratieve Commissie beveelt aan om ook besluiten van het Gemengd Comité van de EER en van het Gemengd Comité EU-Zwitserland voor te bereiden, om rekening te houden met het feit dat de formulieren voor de toepassing van de Verordeningen (EEG) nr. 1408/71 en (EEG) nr. 574/72 betreffende de medische verstrekkingen bij tijdelijk verblijf in een andere dan de bevoegde lidstaat of de lidstaat van wonen, vervangen worden door een Europese kaart,

E. whereas it is essential, following on from the final declaration issued after the ninth annual meeting of the EU-Macao Joint Committee, for the Commission, together with the MSAR, to explore innovative ways and means of enabling bilateral cooperation to be pursued on a broader basis in the future, taking into account in particular the substantial change to financial assistance brought about by the review of Council Regulation (EEC) No 443/92 of 25 February 1992 on financial and technical assistance to, and economic cooperation with, the developing countries in Asia and Latin America (LAA Regulation),

Directive 96/100/EEC was due to apply pursuant to Decision nº 165/99 of the EEA Joint Committee of 26 November 1999, but constitutional obstacles in one of the States concerned have delayed this application [22].
