Considering the international protection granted to radio astronomy, earth exploration satellite and space research passive services in the 23,60 GHz to 24 GHz band, and the exceptional character of the designation of that band for short-range radars by Decision 2005/50/EC, a prolongation of such designation is not a viable option.
Gelet op de internationale bescherming die in de 23,60-24 GHz-band aan passieve radioastronomie-, aardexploratiesatelliet- en ruimteonderzoeksdiensten is verleend, en op het uitzonderlijke karakter van de aanwijzing van die band voor kortbereikradars bij Beschikking 2005/50/EG, is een verlenging van deze aanwijzing niet haalbaar.
