TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Shifts in the active management of agricultural systems - including the use of technologies and change of practices - will increase greenhouse gas mitigation and the adaptive capacity of the agriculture sector to the adverse effects of climate change.

The achievement of these objectives of rural development shall be pursued through the following Union priorities for rural development: (1) fostering knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry, and rural areas; (2) enhancing farm viability and competitiveness of all types of agriculture in all regions and promoting innovative farm technologies and sustainable management of forests; (3) promoting food chain organisation, including processing and marketing of agricultural products, animal welfare and risk management in agriculture; (4) restoring, preserving and enhancing ecosystems related to agriculture and forestry; (5) promoting resource efficiency and supporting the shift towards a low carbon and climate resilient economy in agriculture, food and forestry sectors; and (6) promoting social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development in rural areas (11).

Notwithstanding Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999, in the case of the outermost regions, the total value of the aid for investments intended in particular to encourage diversification, restructuring or a shift towards sustainable agriculture on agricultural holdings of small economic size, to be defined in the programme complement referred to in Articles 18(3) and 19(4) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1260/1999 of 21 June 1999 laying down general provisions on the Structural Funds , expressed as a percentage of the volume of eligible investments, shall not exceed 75 %.

In afwijking van artikel 7 van Verordening (EG) nr. 1257/1999 bedraagt voor de ultraperifere gebieden de totale steun voor investeringen die met name tot doel hebben diversificatie, herstructurering of overschakeling op duurzame landbouw te bevorderen op landbouwbedrijven met een beperkte economische omvang die nader moet worden bepaald in de programmacomplementen bedoeld in artikel 18, lid 3, en artikel 19, lid 4, van Verordening (EG) nr. 1260/1999 van 21 juni 1999 houdende algemene bepalingen inzake de Structuurfondsen , ten hoogste 75 % van het subsidiabele investeringsvolume.
