The wine sector is characterised by glaring divergences in the implementation of Community policies, notably as regards the regulation of supply and demand, restructuring, grubbing-up, the classification and labelling of wines, promotion policy, distillation, the existence of ‘non-legalised’ plantings and the role of producers and interprofessional organisations.
