CONSUMENTENVORMING EN -VOORLICHTING - RESOLUTIE VAN DE RAAD [1] "DE RAAD VAN DE EUROPESE UNIE, gelet op het Verdrag tot oprichting van de Europese Gemeenschap, gezien de resolutie van de Raad van 9 juni 1986, betreffende de consumentenvorming in het basisonderwijs en het secundaire onderwijs, gezien de resolutie van de Raad van 23 juni 1986 betreffende de toekomstige koers van het beleid van de Europese Economische Gemeenschap inzake de bescherming en de bevordering van de belangen van de consument ; overwegende dat in artikel 3, sub s), van het Verdrag bepaald is dat het optreden van de Gemeenschap een bijdrage tot de versterking van de consumentenbescherming omvat ; overwege
...[+++]nde dat de Gemeenschap uit hoofde van artikel 129 A, lid 1, sub b), van het Verdrag moet bijdragen tot de verwezenlijking van een hoog niveau van consumentenbescherming door middel van specifieke maatregelen ter ondersteuning en aanvulling van het beleid van de Lid-Staten om de gezondheid, de veiligheid en de economische belangen van de consumenten te beschermen en adequate consumentenvoorlichting te verschaffen ; overwegende dat in het tweede driejarig actieplan van de Commissie "De interne markt ten dienste van de Europese consumenten stellen" (1993-1995) wordt benadrukt dat het van essentieel belang is dat de totstandkoming en de verdere ontwikkeling van één grote Europese markt in het dagelijks leven van de consument in tastbare voordelen wordt vertaald ; overwegende dat het strategische programma en de mededeling "Een optimale benutting van de door de interne markt geboden kansen" van de Commissie de vitale rol van de consument bij een succesvolle tenuitvoerlegging van het programma voor de interne markt benadrukken, aangezien dit programma niet behoorlijk kan functioneren zonder een ruime, doelmatige deelneming van de consument en marktkeuzen gemaakt door goed voorgelichte consumenten de positieve economische gevolgen van een geïntegreerde markt kunnen versnellen ; overwegende dat vo ...
