Bepaalde aluminiumsilicaat vuurvaste keramische vezels (Al-RCF) en zirkonium-aluminiumsilicaat vuurvaste keramische vezels (Zr-RCF) voldoen aan de criteria voor indeling als kankerverwekkend (categorie 1B) overeenkomstig Verordening (EG) nr. 1272/2008 en voldoen daarom aan de criteria voor opname in bijlage XIV bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006 zoals bepaald in artikel 57, onder a), van die verordening.
Certain aluminosilicate refractory ceramic fibres (Al-RCF) and zirconia aluminosilicate refractory ceramic fibres (Zr-RCF) meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic (category 1B) in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and therefore meet the criteria for inclusion in Annex XIV to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 set out in Article 57(a) of that Regulation.

In afwijking van lid 1, en onverminderd artikel 7, lid 2, kan een vezel die ten hoogste 3% van het totale gewicht van het textielproduct uitmaakt, of kunnen vezels die gezamenlijk ten hoogste 10% van het totale gewicht uitmaken, worden aangeduid met de term "overige vezels", onmiddellijk gevolgd door hun gewichtspercentage, mits deze op het tijdstip van de fabricage moeilijk kunnen worden aangeduid.
2. By way of derogation from paragraph 1, and without prejudice to Article 7(2), a fibre which accounts for up to 3 % of the total weight of the textile product, or fibres which collectively account for up to 10 % of the total weight, may be designated by the term 'other fibres', immediately followed by their percentage by weight, provided that they cannot easily be stated at the time of the manufacture.
