In artikel 17 bis, lid 1, van Verordening (EEG) nr. 2261/84 is bepaald dat, met het oog op de vaststelling van het bedrag van de productiesteun per eenheid dat mag worden voorgeschoten, voor het betrokken verkoopseizoen een raming van de olijfolieproductie moet worden opgesteld.
Article 17a(1) of Regulation (EEC) No 2261/84 provides that in order to determine the unit amount of the production aid for olive oil that can be paid in advance, the estimated production for the marketing year concerned should be determined.

Krachtens artikel 5 van Verordening nr. 136/66/EEG moet de productiesteun per eenheid worden aangepast in elke lidstaat waar de werkelijke productie de in lid 3 van dat artikel vastgestelde gegarandeerde nationale hoeveelheid overschrijdt.

(FR) On the basis of the information officially forwarded by the competent authorities of the producer Member States, the Commission has, by means of Regulation (EC) No 1794/2003 of 13 October 2003, fixed the estimated production of olive oil (including table olives) for the 2002/03 marketing year, as well as the amount of the production aid that may be paid in advance.

Overeenkomstig de vigerende wetgeving zal de Commissie op 1 juli 2004 de effectieve productie voor het verkoopseizoen 2002/2003 vaststellen, alsmede het bedrag van de productiesteun per eenheid.
In accordance with the legislation in force, the Commission will, before 1 July 2004, fix the effective production for the 2002/03 marketing year, as well as the unit amount of the production aid.

2. After carrying out all the requisite checks and subject to the results thereof, the Member States shall pay the balance of the aid to producers within 90 days of the fixing by the Commission of actual production for the marketing year concerned and of the unit amount of production aid as provided for in Article 17a(2) of Regulation (EEC) No 2261/84.
