3. Het comité zorgt voor horizontaal toezicht op de in artikel 17 bedoelde werkprogramma's, teneinde te garanderen dat deze coherent zijn en dat intersectorale synergie wordt aangeduid, benut en geëvalueerd tussen de vervoers-, telecommunicatie- en energiesectoren.
3. The committee shall ensure a horizontal overview of the work programmes referred to in Article 17 to ensure that they are consistent and that synergies are identified, exploited and assessed between the transport, telecommunications and energy sectors.

Welcomes the projects on the internal organisation of the Committee which set out the objectives of cooperation between services and the development of synergies in common activities and joint actions; asks to be updated on the projects and be informed more precisely on the budgetary consequences of the measures taken;

11. stelt met tevredenheid vast dat het samenwerkingsakkoord tussen het EESC en het Comité van de Regio's naar schatting tot een besparing/synergie van ongeveer 40 miljoen EUR zal leiden; is van mening dat het interessant zou zijn een recentere beoordeling van de voordelen van dit akkoord te hebben omdat de bovenstaande gegevens van 2005 dateren en geen rekening houden met de situatie in de EU27;

Notes with satisfaction that the EESC–Committee of the Regions Cooperation agreement is estimated to make savings/synergies of around EUR 40 million; considers that it would be interesting to have a more recent evaluation of the benefits of this agreement since the data above is from 2005 and did not take into account the situation in the EU27;

(4) In hun gezamenlijke bijdrage voor de Europese Raad van Laken van 14 en 15 december 2001 hebben de sociale partners te kennen gegeven dat het Permanent Comité voor arbeidsmarktvraagstukken niet tot een dergelijke integratie van het overleg had gevoerd en dat het niet voldeed aan de behoeften aan coherentie en synergie tussen de verschillende processen waarbij zij betrokken zijn.
