Calls on the Commission to promote the strengthening of the energy-related aspects of the activities of multilateral organisations in the area of trade, finance and development and in particular of the World Trade Organization, the World Bank and its Investment Framework for Clean Energy and Sustainable Development; the International Finance Corporation, and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and to give greater support to multilateral technical initiatives such as the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership, Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, Financial Action Task Force, IFC Equator Principles and Inogate;
