In de periode 2004-2006 kregen 2 325 studenten van buiten de EU een beurs voor 57 verschillende masteropleidingen, waaronder drie in taalkunde en taalverwante onderwerpen.

Having regard to the aim of establishing a sound basis for cooperation and support in the education sector, in particular through the 'Education and Training 2010' programme, in order to promote a strategy of lifelong learning, will the Commission say what position is occupied in the overall scheme by subject disciplines and areas of learning which are not directly related to the labour market, such as ancient Greek, Latin, history, archaeology and linguistics?
