IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

A. overwegende dat Kroatië twintig jaar na zijn onafhankelijkheidsverklaring en ongeveer acht jaar na het verzoek om toetreding tot de EU een historische stap heeft gezet in het proces van integratie in de EU door de toetredingsonderhandelingen succesvol af te ronden; overwegende dat de prestatie van Kroatië zonder voorbehoud moet worden erkend;
A. whereas, twenty years after the declaration of its independence and some eight years after submitting its application for EU membership, Croatia has reached a historic milestone in its EU integration process by successfully closing accession negotiations; whereas Croatia's achievements deserve unqualified recognition;
