A Member State which has granted approval shall issue the applicant with an approval certificate, the model of which is given below.

The Contracting Parties to the 1958 Agreement applying this Regulation shall communicate to the United Nations secretariat the names and addresses of the Technical Services responsible for conducting approval tests and of the Type Approval Authorities which grant approval and to which forms certifying approval or extension, or refusal or withdrawal of approval, issued in other countries, are to be sent.

6. Any amendment of the Statutes concerning the matters referred to in Article 1(2) (Name) and (4) (Statutory Seat) and Articles 2 (Tasks and Activities), 20 (Procurement Policy), 21 (Liabilities), 22 (Scientific Evaluation and Dissemination Policy), 23 (Intellectual Property Rights Policy and Data Policy), 24 (Employment Policy) and 25 (Duration and Winding-Up) which have been approved by the Members as a Reserved Matter will only take effect after the European Commission has expressly approved such amendment and the decision of the European Commission granting approval of the changes has come into force.

For the purpose of vehicle type-approval, the initial assessments carried out for granting approvals for systems, components and technical units of the vehicle need not be repeated but shall be completed by an assessment covering the locations and activities relating to the assembly of the whole vehicle not covered by the former assessments.
