TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

32. Repeats its call for common criteria for data protection in the security domain to be laid down on the basis of the principles identified by the European Council and by the European Conference of Data Protection Authorities (see Duquesne draft recommendation) and repeats its call for the establishment of a joint authority for data protection as part of judicial and police cooperation, involving national and European authorities in connection with EUROPOL, EUROJUST, SIS and SID; takes the view that that authority should be responsible for verifying protection rules compliance by European authorities and for assisting those authorities with legislative work;
